Just a little Can

 by Dan Nichols

I searched high

I searched low

I went to stores

I went to stations

I cursed the trials and tribulations

I was thirsty, it wasn’t fair

In fact I was close to despair

When across the Lee and Dads aisle

I spotted it with a smile

Those tall cans of Scottish brew

A Cold Smoke, I wanted a few

I reached out and was taken aback,

Only four, where’s the six pack!

I shook my head but then I knew,

That crafty Irishman, Tim O’Leary

Had saved himself a few.

Ed and Laurie's testomonial:

"Yup we talked about moving to Missoula after coming here for twenty years.  Laurie's been putting the pressure on me to move here for years, but I was involved in several jazz bands in Minneapolis and hated to give it up.  So last February we ducked into KH on a cold snowy night because my brother's not-for-profit was having a fundraiser.  Being an IPA fan, I ordered up a Double Haul, took one sip, and looked at Laurie and said "Holy S***! We're Moving To This Town!".  She said "are you serious?" and I replied "yup."  We bought a house in June, took six months to sell ours, and moved here in October.  Whenever someone asks "what brought you to Missoula?" I always reply:  "the first time I tasted Double Haul, I said we have to move to this town, so we did."

Thanks for tipping the decision in Laurie's direction, as it was the right move.  We love the town, want to contribute, and we'll help keep your kettles flowing :)
