Al Pils has been with the Kettlehouse since 2001. He is our Taproom Manager, Assistant Beer Promoter, and Chief of all Fly Fishing Operations extraordinaire. He holds a liberal studies degree from the University of Montana
and has a varied working history. Al has worked as a landscaper, Disabled Persons House Manager, and a wood floor installation specialist. And you heard that right folks, Al's family way back when was named after a beer. We like him so much we named a beer after him: Al Pilsner - The Missoula Bohemian.
Paul Roys
is our head brewer. He comes to us from the far East : Cleaveland OH. Paul's BS in wildlife biology suits him perfectly for tracking small game in the brewery environment. He's in charge of catching, tagging and releasing any wild yeast we find skulking around the brewery. He's also Wolverine's stuntman. None of his stunts are computer enhanced.
Colleen Bitters Yeah I know, Pils, Bitters . . . you'd think we had a Tim Stout, and a Joel Brown work for us in the past. Ha! We have! Colleen has been with the Kettlehouse off and on since about 1997. She's assistant brewer, chief canner, and about the nicest person you could hope to meet. Here last name should really be Sweet. She has a degree in wildlife biology from University of Montana. Al likes to speak Raven talk to Colleen after a long hot day scrubbing out the brewkettle. Mitchell Klassen:
Mitch is our assistant taproom manager who can do anything- and I mean anything. He took up telemark skiing last winter and within months was hucking big air. Mitch has no trouble freeing the heel and freeing the mind. He's Big Al's side kick so I call him Medium Mitch for short. He paid me a substantial sum not to post the picture of him in his wranglers on this site. Cheyenne(far left), Angie, Theresa (no picture yet), and Jaimie (below): Our most awesome part time Taproom Servers, these gals are ready at a moment's notice to offer a warm smile and a cold brew. Megan likes to snowboard, bike, hike, and golf. Jaimie likes to hike, ski, run and fish. Cheyenne likes to kayak, tele, and bike. Hmmmmm. Can you say outdoorsy? Theresa makes the best baked goodies ever. They all like that active Montana outdoor lifestyle, they all love good beer, and they're all really cool people.
